VLU Branches join Forces for the Future

Seven VLU (women’s agricultural union) branches from Witbank and surrounding areas came together for a special joint meeting that focused on collaboration, discussion, and future planning.

They gathered at the AGS Oasis on October 22 for a special joint meeting that focused on administrative matters and future planning.

The meeting brought together members of the VLU branches Azaria, Magnolia, Witbank, Soirée, Nocturne, Delmas, and Celebré. It provided women from the various branches with the opportunity to discuss issues affecting the organization and share ideas for the way forward.

A key focus of the meeting was administration. Members were encouraged to voice their opinions on what they believe could be improved and how certain matters should be handled in the future. The meeting enabled members to exchange viewpoints and make suggestions on issues affecting their branches.

A large part of the discussion was about planning for the coming year, especially regarding projects and activities the branches would like to undertake. Members shared ideas and discussed possibilities for the year ahead, while striving to strengthen their branches and continue their involvement in their respective communities.

The event also served as a platform for collaboration, where members took the opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences and perspectives.

Annemarie van Heerden from Helpende Hand attended the meeting as a guest speaker.

Although planning for the future was an important part of the day, the branches will continue with their regular meetings and activities as the end of the year approaches.
