Family and Police Appeal for Information on Missing Witbank eMalahleni Resident

The Witbank SAPS, working in conjunction with local search and rescue organizations, has issued a public plea for assistance regarding the whereabouts of Renier Koekemoer, a local resident who was reported missing earlier this week.

Koekemoer, 42, was last seen by neighbors in his suburb in Witbank eMalahleni on August 12, 2026, at approximately 14:00.

Widespread Community Search Underway

Family members noted that Koekemoer’s sudden disappearance is highly out of character, as he had not communicated any plans to travel or depart from his residence. His family is growing increasingly concerned as the search enters its fourth day without any concrete leads.

“We are asking anyone who might have seen him or who may have captured CCTV footage near his home or on the routes he commonly travels to please come forward,” a family spokesperson stated.
