The Hidden Trap of ‘New Age’ Manifestation

I’ve spent a lifetime being positive. I believe I have a very strong personality and even when under the weather, I would never acknowledge being down. Through adversity, I would always affirm the positive. I sometimes smile at the thought of a psychologist getting a hold of my delightful mind and what his diagnoses might be. Notice I said ‘affirm’ the positive, not ‘manifesting’ it.

I truly believe these ridiculous life gurus and ignorant new age idiots preaching about ‘manifesting’ things in our lives, are dangerous. Manifesting is to make evident or certain by showing or displaying. It’s risky and perilous! Manifesting refers to the so-called practice of using your thoughts, intentions, and energy to attract something specific into your life. And in order to achieve this, you are always being told to ‘open yourself up’, to welcome it in. They tell you that you can manifest anything in your mind; money, a dream job, and even a lover. So now, you are ignorantly also wide open, to accept other ‘things’ to unknowingly enter.

Possession is the unwilling relinquishment of one’s body and mind to an evil spirit or a demon, which then influences that person’s actions and behavior.

By ‘manifesting’, you are opening a ‘door’; and I believe this is exactly what these new age gurus actually want.
