Highveld Mall Expands Retail Portfolio With New National Brand Signings
Commercial development at Highveld Mall continues to maintain steady momentum as center management confirms the addition of several prominent retail brands to its leasing directory. Situated along Gordon Road, the regional shopping center serves as a primary commercial anchor for the Nkangala district, drawing consistent consumer traffic from across the municipal footprint.
Recent store additions and brand expansions feature international value retailer MR. DIY, which is launching its first provincial branch at the complex, alongside recently integrated fashion and lifestyle brands including GalxBoy, Timberland, Lovisa, Green Cross, and Adidas.
Center representatives noted that the fresh tenant acquisitions reflect ongoing corporate confidence in the local retail economy. By broadening apparel, homeware, and dining options, the complex aims to optimize consumer choice while reinforcing the commercial viability of the broader business node.
Highveld Mall is widely recognized as the largest shopping destination in the Mpumalanga province, drawing nearly 10 million shoppers annually from across the surrounding districts and even cross-border visitors. Its total size is bolstered by its direct link to The Ridge Casino and Entertainment Complex. Combined, this retail and entertainment precinct encompasses approximately 85,000 square meters of space. The center plays a vital role in the Witbank eMalahleni’s economy, housing over a 150 stores, including major national anchors like Game, Woolworths, and Edgars, as well as a variety of dining and banking facilities.
Because of its scale and the diversity of its tenant mix, Highveld Mall remains the primary retail node for the Nkangala district, offering services that would otherwise require travel to larger metropolitan areas like Gauteng.
